Hamlet St. Residence in Columbus, OH

The client for this house in Italian Village wanted to maximize the small property with their residence and the rear carriage house. One of the smallest remaining vacant properties in the area, the challenge was to provide the maximum amount of house, without looking as though the property was over-built. The front facade and covered porch are designed to align and tie together the streetscape, while the building extends down the property to maximize the use of land. The finished product is a residence that looks as though it has always been there, and the open concept floor plan meets the spatial needs of the homeowner.
